Dear Society Member:

On behalf of the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Executive Board, your are cordially invited to participate in the IAS 34th Annual Meeting, October 3-7, 1999, Hyatt Regency, Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Nearly four hundred technical paper will be presented in fifty-nine technical session, one of the largest technical programs in recent years, by our colleagues from industry and academia. There are six Technical Tutorials scheduled for the Annual Meeting, Sunday, October 3rd, 1999, in subjects such as Controls of AC Drives to Utility Interface Issues of Power Electronic Equipment. 

There are two development Workshops in the areas of Career Planning and Communication. The Myron Zucker Student Luncheon is scheduled for Monday, October 4th 1999. The Society Awards in recognition of excellence, including the Prize Papers, Outstanding Chapters Achievement, Distinguished 
 Service and Outstanding Young Member, will be presented on Tuesday, October 5th 1999, at the Awards Luncheon. The Annual Meeting also will have exhibits by suppliers to industry, providing the opportunity for you to see the latest products, devices, and analysis tools available in the market.
