The IEEE Houston Section is committed to serving its most important resource - its members. We will support the professional and personal needs of our members in the practice of engineering by providing continuing technical education seminars and programs of value to our members, and by ensuring the resources of IEEE are known by and available to our members. We will also support the future of IEEE and the Houston Section by encouraging participation by and support of the student chapters of the Houston Section, and by supporting and encouraging K-12 students in the pursuit of technical and engineering careers.

The Houston Section shall be an organization that all electrical engineers feel they should be a member of and that corporations see a value for their employee's participation.
