DEREGULATION OF ELECTRICITY, WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN TO ME ?

  • How will this affect my power bill ?

  • Will I benefit by owning my own substation ?

  • Can I own my own substation ?

  • What will my utility company say ?

  • Who will maintain my substation ?

  • Who will be there for emergencies ?

  • Who will sell me the power that I need ?  At what cost ?

  • How will I negotiate the power contract ?

  •   How will I negotiate to build, own and operate my own substation ?

  • Are there any guidelines available to help me ?

These questions are the most frequently asked when the word DEREGULATION is mentioned.  R.J. “Flip” Filippino will be representing an overview of how deregulation can affect our industry.  Flip is Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing for Power System Development Co. and brings almost thirty years of experience from the world of Electrical Substations and how they interface between industrials and their servicing utility company.  His experience includes performing engineering studies, directly marketing Total Turnkey Substation and transmission Lines as well as the many aspects of Deregulation from a suppliers point of view.  Flip has authored and co-authored several articles related to Turnkey applications.
